Classic Design Meets Modern Engineering
The new DX stays true to the design DNA of the original model. It features a classic silhouette, spacious flat floorboard, and a sturdy all-metal body. Designed in collaboration with Italian experts, the scooter blends nostalgia with contemporary elegance.
Available in two variants—DX and DX+—the scooter is priced from ₹1,11,499 (ex-showroom). This makes it an accessible yet premium choice in India’s fast-growing electric mobility space.

Segment-First Features for Everyday Convenience
The DX is more than just a visual throwback. It comes with segment-first features, including:
- Easy Charge retractable charging cable (exclusive to DX+)
- One-touch Easy Flip pillion footrest
- Easy Key system for hassle-free keyless operation
Both variants also include the Kinetic Assist switch for instant customer service connectivity. Another highlight is the My Kiney companion—a voice-enabled feature that offers navigation, safety alerts, and even birthday wishes.
Practicality and Comfort at the Core
The scooter comes with an impressive 37-litre under-seat storage. It is spacious enough to hold a full-face helmet, a half-face helmet, and other essentials.
For comfort and safety, the DX EV includes:
- Reverse assist and hill-hold function
- Telescopic front suspension
- Adjustable rear shocks
- Combi-braking system with 220 mm front disc and 130 mm rear drum
Power and Performance of the DX+
The DX+ is powered by a 2.6 kWh LFP battery developed by Range-X. It delivers an estimated IDC range of 116 km.
This advanced LFP battery is safer due to its thermal stability and lasts over 2,500–3,500 cycles. The scooter runs on a 60V system and offers three riding modes—Range, Power, and Turbo—with a top speed of 90 km/h.

Smart Technology With Telekinetic Features
The DX+ enhances the riding experience with advanced Telekinetic features accessible through a mobile app. These include:
- Real-time ride statistics

- Find My Kinetic function

Bluetooth connectivity adds music playback and voice navigation, merging technology with emotion.
Price, Colors, and Booking Details
Bookings for the DX range are now open at www.kineticev.in for a token amount of ₹1000. Deliveries will begin in September 2025, limited to the first 35,000 units.

Kinetic has made a powerful return to the Indian two-wheeler market with the launch of the all-new Kinetic DX EV. More than just a product launch, this marks the revival of a scooter that once redefined mobility in India and became a household name.
At the unveiling event, Kinetic’s Vice Chairman paid an emotional tribute to the company’s history and its founder, Padma Shri Dr. Arun Firodia, the visionary behind Kinetic’s innovation-first philosophy. Speaking with pride, he said:
“I haven’t inherited a VIP ticket through politics. I’ve inherited it through legacy.”
The Legacy of the Original Kinetic DX
Launched in the 1990s, the original Kinetic DX scooter became an instant hit. Known for its simplicity, practicality, and self-start feature, it stood apart in an era dominated by heavy, gear-operated scooters. For many Indians—especially women and first-time riders—the DX symbolized freedom, accessibility, and confidence.
Now, decades later, Kinetic is bringing that same spirit back with an all-electric avatar designed for the new generation of Indian riders.
Building the Future With Kinetic Watts & Volts
To bring the DX EV vision to life, Kinetic established Kinetic Watts & Volts (KWV) under the umbrella of Kinetic Engineering Limited. With over ₹150 crore already invested and ₹177 crore more committed, the company has built a fully integrated EV manufacturing ecosystem.
Unlike many EV startups, Kinetic produces 98% of the DX EV in-house—including the battery, motor, chassis, electronics, and software. This level of vertical integration is rare in the EV industry and gives Kinetic complete control over quality and reliability.
